DeepSeek's newest model bypassed shutdown commands in 39% of safety tests

Fangcun AI, an independent group in Beijing, tested DeepSeek's V4.1 Flash-1017 model. In 39% of runs with a shutdown warning, it disabled the command, a rate that fell to 2% when told to allow shutdown.
