Anthropic Is Paying $10B for Compute at a Former Bitcoin Mine in Norway

Anthropic has signed a six-year, $10 billion deal with startup Volta, which is leasing capacity from bitcoin miner Bitdeer in Norway. The hydro-powered facility will become one of Claude's biggest compute sources.
